Ireland's Ben Healy soared through the hills of Normandy to win Stage 6 of the Tour de France on Thursday.
Healy completed the 201.5-kilometer trek from Bayeux to Vire Normandie a full two minutes and 44 seconds ahead of American runner-up Quinn Simmons.
Australia's Michael Storer placed third.
It was the first stage win for an Irish cyclist since Sam Bennett's triumph on the Champs-Elysees in 2020.
Mathieu van der Poel of the Netherlands reclaimed the overall race leader's yellow jersey, with defending and three-time champion Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia in second and Belgium's Remco Evenepoel in third.
Healy improved to eighth place in the overall standings and Matteo Jorgenson remains the leading American in the race in the sixth position.
Stage 7 on Friday is a hilly, 197-kilometer ride from Saint-Malo to Mur-de-Bretagne Guerledan. International cycling's premier 21-stage race will conclude on July 27 in Paris.
