Natus Vincere and Team Vitality each recorded a three-map win on Thursday to advance to the upper bracket final of the BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
Natus Vincere posted a 2-1 victory over Heroic, courtesy of sandwiching a 16-11 win on Inferno and a 16-12 triumph on Overpass around a 16-14 setback on Mirage.
Ukraine's Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev had 75 kills and a plus-31 kills-to-deaths differential to pace Natus Vincere, will face Vitality on Saturday.
Denmark's Rene "TeSeS" Madsen collected 57 kills and a plus-1 kills-to-deaths differential for Heroic, who fell to Round 2 in the lower bracket. They will meet the winner of Friday's contest pitting Team Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Team Vitality secured a 2-1 victory over Astralis after sandwiching a 22-18 win on Nuke and 16-11 triumph on Inferno around a 16-14 loss on Dust II.
Frenchman Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut had 84 kills and a plus-31 K-D differential for Vitality.
Astralis' Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke had 81 kills and fellow Dane Philip "Lucky" Ewald had a plus-12 differential. Astralis also fell to Round 2 in the lower bracket, where they will square off against the winner of Friday's match pitting BIG and FaZe Clan.
All matches in the double-elimination, $425,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament are best-of-three, including the grand final on Sunday. The winning team will earn $225,000 and a berth in the BLAST Premier World Final, scheduled for Dec. 14-19. The runner-up will receive $85,000.
